The Red Barn Farm of Northfield (RBF) is a 10-acre farm run by Patrick, Tammy, Hannah and Max Winter located east of town off of 110th St E halfway between Northfield and Dennison. The Winters’ mission is to use their love of the land and cooking to reconnect people to their local food source.
RBF has recently received a bit of press lately over their weekly Brick Oven Pizza Night at the farm; however, they offer much more. RBF is a CSA that takes the usual weekly basket of vegetables to a whole new level. Alongside their organically grown veggies you will find pasture raised chicken eggs, breads (baked in their brick oven), cole slaw, sauerkraut, pestos, pickles, jellies and many other speciality sauces created at the farm both fresh and canned. Many of these sauces, including their most famous “Fresh Salsa” are sold at the Riverwalk Market Fair.
